How it works

Six steps from hello to a human decision

A predictable flow that reception, HR, room operators and reviewers learn in minutes — and candidates find calm and clear.

  1. 01Reception

    Register

Candidate self-registers in under a minute and receives a Candidate ID — referral or walk-in tracked from day one.

  2. 02HR team

    Assign room & PC

HR assigns an assessment, language, room and kiosk PC. The candidate receives a 6-character access code.

  3. 03Kiosk

    System check

Camera, microphone, speakers and connectivity are verified. Failed checks need a room-operator override.

  4. 04Candidate

    Voice interview

The AI interviewer asks adaptive questions aloud across rounds; the candidate answers by voice in their language.

  5. 05VaaniAssess AI

    AI evaluation

Answers are transcribed and scored against rubrics, keywords and your knowledge base — with evidence and confidence.

  6. 06HR reviewer

    Human review

Reviewers see transcripts, recordings, scores and flags — and make the final decision. AI never auto-rejects.

For candidates

What the kiosk experience feels like

Large type, clear states and no distractions — designed for first-time computer users as much as for graduates.

About 30–45 minutes

Several short rounds with a progress bar, so candidates always know where they are.

Hear every question

Questions are read aloud and shown on screen. Candidates can repeat any question.

Answer naturally

The microphone switches on automatically. Press “I’m done” or let the timer finish.

Type if needed

An accessible typed answer option is always one tap away.

Help is in the room

A room operator can pause, resume or assist at any time — the kiosk waits calmly.

No scores on screen

Candidates never see scores. Results go only to authorised HR staff.

Scoring

A formula you can explain to anyone

No hidden magic. Every number in a report can be recomputed from stored component scores.

Answer score

0–100 from relevance, accuracy, clarity, depth and language against the rubric.

Module score

Difficulty-weighted mean of answer scores (T1 1.0 · T2 1.15 · T3 1.3 · T4 1.45).

Overall score

Σ(module score × weight) ÷ Σ(weights of answered modules) — reproducible from stored components.

Recommendation

Recommended / Needs review / Not recommended from your thresholds — always reviewed by a human.

FAQ

Questions HR teams ask us

Session state lives on the server. The kiosk shows a calm reconnecting screen, re-sends any pending answer and resumes from the exact question — nothing is lost.
